The CMA Examination is divided into 3 phases which are as follows:
1. CSEET: This is an online examination and the foundation stage for the CMA Examination. It includes 4 Core Subjects
2. CMA Intermediate: This is an intermediary stage of the CMA Examination and includes two modules
3. CMA Final: This is the final stage of the Examination Process and consists of three modules in it.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in CMA Examination varies with the level of examination:
1. CSEET: Candidates should successfully pass their 12th exams from a recognized educational institute or equivalent, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
2. CMA Intermediate:
(i)     Direct Entry: The candidate should hold an undergraduate degree.
(ii)  After Foundation Examination: the candidate should have scored over 40% in the CMA Foundation Exam
3. CMA Final: The candidate should either be a commerce graduate/postgraduate with a minimum of 55% or a graduate/postgraduate in another stream with at least 60%

For clearing the CMA Examination, the candidate has to score a minimum of 40% marks in each individual paper and secure an aggregate score of at least 50% in all the papers

The number of attempts varies with the exam stage which are mentioned as follows:
1. Foundation Programme: 6 attempts
2. Intermediate Programme:  10 attempts(5 year span)
3. Final Programme: Unlimited Attempts

The mode of examination varies with the level of the examination:
1. CSEET(Online Proctored Examination): The candidate can take this test from the comfort of their home. The candidate will be under the surveillance of the panel who’ll be watching their activities through the camera.
