Eligibility Criteria for CMA Intermediate Exam
Syllabus of the CMA Intermediate Exam: The CMA Intermediate new syllabus consists of two groups, Group 1 and Group 2, each containing four papers.
Eligibility for CMA Intermediate: To be eligible for the CMA Intermediate course, candidates must meet specific academic qualifications as per the ICMAI guidelines. CMA Inter is a 10-month course that follows after the CMA Foundation. It's the second phase of becoming a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Students must clear the CMA Foundation exam before registering for the CMA Inter exam.
The eligibility for CMA Inter is based on the last educational qualification completed. To enroll in the CMA Intermediate program, students must have completed the CMA Foundation course. Students who have passed Class 10 (or its equivalent) from a recognized board or institution are eligible to apply for CMA Inter.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
- Completed Foundation Course from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) or any graduation in any discipline.
- Students awaiting results can apply for provisional admission.
Stream of Study:
- Passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of ICMAI, or Graduation in any discipline (except Fine Arts).
- Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of ICMAI or Foundation and Competency Level Part II Examinations of CAT.
- Passed Foundation of ICSI or Intermediate of ICMAI along with 10+2.
- List of other qualifying examinations is available in Annexure VI of the prospectus. Candidates waiting for results can also apply for provisional admission.
Age Limit:
There is typically no specific age limit for candidates applying for the CMA Intermediate course. However, candidates must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
Registration with ICMAI:
Candidates can register for the CMA Inter course either online or through a regional office of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
