ICSI Restructures CSEET Exam from June 2026: New Pattern, Syllabus & Key Changes Explained

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced major changes in CSEET exam pattern and syllabus. These new changes will start from the June 2026 exam. The CSEET January 2026 exam will be the last exam held in remote-proctored mode (from home).

From June 2026, the CSEET exam will be held offline. Students will have to go to the exam centre given to them.

The CSEET exam will now be conducted three times a year – February, June, and October. Earlier it was conducted four times – January, May, July, and November – and all were in remote – proctored mode.

CSEET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed or are currently appearing in the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent may register for the test.

Who can be exempt from the CSEET exam?

There are various students who can be exempt from CSEET and get direct entry in the CS Executive level. These Includes:

• Aspirants who have passed the final stage of the Chartered Accountancy course
• Aspirants who have passed the final stage of the ICMAI course
• Candidates who have Bachelor’s or Post Graduation Degree 
• Candidates who have final year/Semester of Bachelor’s degree examination

ICSI CSEET Revised Exam Structure: Highlights

• The CSEET exam will now be held offline at exam centres. The exam timings will be 2:30pm to 5:45pm.
• Each CSEET subject will have its own exam on a different day.

• Every CSEET subject will now consists of 100 marks
• Once you register, the registration for CSEET is valid for 3 years
