To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk 2026, candidates should meet the following requirement:

  • Be an Indian citizen.
  • Be a Nepalese citizen.
  • Be a Bhutanese citizen.
  • Be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1st, 1962 and intended to stay permanently.
  • Be of Indian origin and have moved to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling.

IBPS Clerk- Educational Qualification

A candidate should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should have a certificate as proof of passing the qualifying examination.
The candidate must have a valid mark-sheet / degree certificate proving that he or she is a graduate on the day of registration and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in graduation when registering online.

Computer Literacy: Candidates must have operating and working knowledge of computer systems, which means they must have a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of their subjects in high school/college/institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates must be able to read, write, and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which they wish to apply is preferred.
