- Minimum Age – 20 years
- Maximum Age – 28 years
Nationality
- Candidates must be a citizen of India or,
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
RBI Assistant Notification 2024 - Educational Qualification
According to the RBI Assistant notification 2024, the educational qualification is:
- The Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks for the SC/ST/PwD categories in the aggregate and have knowledge of word and basic computer.
- A candidate who belongs to the Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.

RBI Assistant 2024 prelims exam – preliminary exam is the first stage of the RBI assistant selection process and it conducted in online mode. After clearing prelims exam candidate will have to take mains exam. |

RBI Assistant Mains Exam 2024 - The mains exam of RBI Assistant is the second stage in the selection process of RBI Assistant. In this process, the candidates also have to undergo biometric data capturing on the day of the mains exam as they may not be administered again. |
Biometric Data Capturing - The biometric data (thumb impression or otherwise) and photograph of the candidates are captured and verified on the day of the mains exam. The decision of the authority regarding the biometric data verification status (matched or unmatched) shall be final and binding upon the candidates. |

RBI Assistant Language Proficiency Test (LPT) - Candidates who will pass in the mains exam will be eligible to appear in the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The language proficiency test is held in the official/local language of the state concerned. Those candidates who are not proficient in the local language will be disqualified. |

RBI Assistant Salary 2024 Career Growth
There are opportunities for promotions to higher positions for RBI Assistant. To become an officer, they have to work at least 2 years as a part of a minimum bond period.
The promotion process involves two routes:
