Preliminary examination: In SBI PO exam, this is the first step of the selection process. There are total number three section including English language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability which have total numbers of 100 questions. Also, this part contains 100 marks and the duration of this section is 1 hour.

Mains examination: Candidates who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to take the main exam. It has both objective and descriptive types of questions. There are total numbers of 157 questions which carries a total of 250 marks and the duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Interview: This is the last and final stage after the mains exam. Candidates are judged on their communication skills and personalities.
