The revised syllabus for the CA Foundation course has been announced by ICAI beginning June 23rd, 2023. In accordance with the revised plan, the first CA Foundation exam will be held in June 2024 whereas CA Inter and CA Final will be held in May 2024. According to the former syllabus exam pattern for the CA Foundation 2023 exam, there are four papers on which candidates should concentrate when studying.

The ICAI new syllabus 2024 aims to update and align the CA course with international standards and best practices in the field of accounting and finance. It includes revised study materials, new subjects, and changes in the exam structure and assessment methods.

The total number of CA papers under the new syllabus will be 20.

• 4 papers under CA foundation

• 6 papers under CA inter

• 6 papers under CA final.

Apart from these 16 papers; remaining four papers will be self paced learning module.

Student can appear for the self paced learning module after they have cleared the CA intermediate level exam and this self paced module can be attempted at their own pace. For CA final exam students have to qualify 4 online modules, each carrying 100 marks. Moreover,  it is mandatory to secure at least 50% marks in each subject to be eligible for CA final exam.

SET B: Strategic Cost & Performance Management (100 Marks) [Mandatory]

SET D: Multidisciplinary (Choose one) (100 Marks)

• The Constitution of India and Art of Advocacy

• Psychology & Philosophy

• Entrepreneurship and Start-Up Ecosystem

• Digital Ecosystem and Controls

The exam schedule for the CA course may have some changes under the new syllabus. It is recommended to refer to the official website of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the most updated exam schedule. Wherein, the dates for the November 2023 session of the CA Inter exams have been released by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The ICAI has also made the application deadlines for the following session available along with the dates for the CA Inter November 2023 test. Prior to that, on July 5, 2023, ICAI issued the CA Inter May 2023 results. The November 2023 CA Intermediate exams will be given offline from November 2 to November 17, 2023. Between August 2 and August 23, 2023, applicants can submit the CA Intermediate exam application (without paying a late fee).

Updates on stipend for CA students should be obtained from the ICAI or the relevant authoritiesas advisable so here it is –The Allowance for the first-year preparing was fixed as Rs. 2000 and which is currently changed to Rs. 4000 in the urban areas/towns having populace of 20 lakhs or more each month.For the second year, the ICAI raised it from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 5000. And for the third year, it was doubled from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 6000.
