Subject preparation tips for the CS Executive Exam

Paper 1: Jurisprudence, Interpretation, and General Laws

This paper contains 100 marks, of which 80 and 20 Percentage of the exam have descriptive and objective types of questions, respectively. In addition to this, it includes 18 laws relating to different fields. So students need to concentrate on one law at a time. Also, students need to be aware of the fundamentals and key definitions, amendments to the acts, powers, characteristics, and purpose of the provisions of the acts, especially prior to the examination.

Paper 2: Company Law and Practices

Company law and practices of CS Executive is divided into two parts, in which the first part is company law principles and concepts, which is worth 60 marks; the second part is company administration and meetings, which is worth 40 marks. Students should pay more attention to Part 1 because it contains more marks than Part 2. Understand the company laws and their relevant cases, as well as keep an eye on recent amendments and developments.

Paper 3: Setting up a Business, Industrial, and Labor Law

There are two parts to setting up a business: industrial and labor laws. Paper 4: Corporate Accounting and Financial Management

It also includes 80 and 20 percentage of descriptive and objective types of questions, respectively. Practice and understand the legal frameworks that control the capital market; this includes all acts like Companies, SEBI, etc. also practice concepts like the issue of securities, the capital market, and so on.

Paper 6: Economic, Commercial, and Intellectual Property Laws

In this paper, CS Executive also has two parts, which are for 60 and 40 marks. Memorize all the acts that fall within the Sale of Goods Act, the Consumer Protection Act, the Negotiable Instruments Act, and practice all types of intellectual property rights and their registrations.

Paper 7: Tax laws and practices

This is the last subject of the CS Executive. There are also two parts to this: one is named direct tax, which is 60 numbers, and the other is indirect tax, which is 40 numbers. Indirect tax topics related to GST and customs. In this, you have to practice different heads of income like salary, house property, capital gains, etc. with their treatment.
