CA exam 2024 eligibility criteria

CA foundation- Students must pass class 12th from any school under a recognized school with minimum of 50% of marks. Students giving CA foundation will have to follow the foundation path to pursue CA.

 

CA intermediate- The eligibility criteria for CA intermediate is that a student must pass the foundation exam however the students who are not following the foundation path of becoming an CA must have a bachelor’s degree with 55% minimum marks for commerce degree holders and 60 % aggregate marks for other discipline

 

CA final- In order to sit for CA final student need to pass both CA foundation as well as CA intermediate.

 

 

CA Exam Syllabus 2024

CA foundation- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made changes to the CA Foundation syllabus on July 1st under the new scheme of education and training. The new syllabus is available on the official website of ICAI- icai.org. Students planning on appearing for CA foundation 2024 should be aware of the new changes and additions that have been made to the syllabus. In 2024, the first CA foundation under the new scheme will be conducted in 2024 and the last exam under the existing syllabus will be in December 2023 session.

CA 2024 exam pattern

 

CA foundation- It consist of four papers where paper 1 and 2 are subjective types and paper 3 and 4 are objectives types. The total marks of CA foundation is of 400 marks where each papers consists of 100 marks. In CA foundation negative marking is applicable to the objectives papers where wrong answers deduct one fourth mark in paper. The exam is conducted offline and the medium of exam is English or Hindi.

 

CA intermediate- The CA intermediate exam will have 6 papers where each paper will have 70 marks of subjective questions and 30 marks in which the 6th paper will be divided into two parts, financial management and static management where each will have 35 marks of subjective and 15 marks of objective type questions

 

CA Final- It will also consist of six papers where each paper will have 70 marks of subjective type questions and 30 marks of objective type questions.
