SBI PO exam 2023: Everything you need to know

SBI PO Exam is being conducted by the State Bank of India to recruit the most eligible candidates from a massive pool of applicants in the role of probationary officers. The notification of the exam has been released on September 6, 2023. The application form for the exam is available now. The mains exams is going to be held in December, 2023. The mode of the examination is online and comprises of several stages which are preliminary exam, mains examination and psychometric test, interview and group exercises. The starting basic salary is INR 41960 per month.

 

SBI PO 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for SBI PO exams candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria in the aspect of demography and academic qualifications. Checkout below the eligibility criteria for the exam.

 

  • Indian nationals can only apply for the SBI PO Exam

  • Candidate must have completed their graduation from a recognised University or College. Candidates in the final year or final semester of their graduation can also apply but need to show required documents if called for an interview.

  • The age limit for SBI PO 2023 exam is 21 to 30 years

SBI PO Psychometric test and group exercises

 Psychometric test has been recently added to the SBI PO exams in order to test the personality of the candidates. They evaluate through a series of questions that the applicant is psychologically fit for the position of a banker. Here candidates need to respond in confidence as the result of this evaluation will be in front of the interview panel during interview.

 

SBI PO group exercise is another part of the selection round which is designed to assess the communication and interpersonal skills of the candidates. It last anywhere between 15 minutes to 1 hour and usually conducted in English.
