According to the Institute of Company Secretary of India, candidates now have a chance to apply for verification of marks or certified copies of answer books if they are not satisfied with the allotted marks in the recently announced results of the CSEET, CS Executive, and CS Professional exams. 

ICSI CS Result 2024 Marks Verification

Candidates who are not happy with their marks can apply on the official website of ICSI. The fee for marks verification is Rs. 250 per paper, which you have to submit within 21 days after the declaration of the CS result. 

• If all the questions and subquestions are evaluated and marked
• There is no error in totaling or posting of marks and the result is computed correctly.

Note: No revaluation of answers/answer books is permitted.

Steps to apply for verification of marks

• Go to the official website of ICSI
• Select examination and look for ‘verification of marks’ and then select the appropriate module.
• After that, make a new request for mark verification
• Select your payment method and pay the necessary fees
• After making payment, keep a record of your transaction ID and print it for future reference. 

ICSI CS Result 2024 Inspection of certified copies of answer Books

Candidates need to pay the required fees before starting the inspection or getting the certified copies. The fee for acquiring certified copy is Rs. 500 per subject, while the fee for the inspection of the answer book is Rs. 450 per subject, which should be done within 30 days after the declaration of the exam.

Steps to apply online for Inspection of Certified copies of answer Book

• Click on the smash.icsi.in.
• Login by using your login credentials
• After that, the dashboard will open
• Click on ‘Module’ and in the submenu find ‘exam’ 
• Select your appropriate option
• Enter details like application type, VMCR number, and request type
• Click on ‘Add new request’
• Fill in all the details and your request type
• After selecting your request type, the result details will be displayed
• Tick all the appropriate boxes
• After clicking all the boxes, Choose your payment method and then click next
• Transaction ID and detail of user will appear on the screen
• Follow to link to the payment gateway

Can we get ICSI CS Certified Copies through RTI?

Yes, you can get certified copies of your ICSI CS answer sheets through the Right to Information Act (RTI) and within thirty days from the date of receipt of the application by the public authorities, you will receive your answer books.

If you are applying through the RTI, then applicants must pay RTI fees of Rs. 10/- however, if the candidates belong to the below poverty line (BPL) then they are not required to pay any fee but they have to submit a proof of being in the BPL category.

How do I get Certified Copies or Inspection of answer books through RTI?

Step 1: Login to the RTI portal 

Step 2: Click on the ‘Submit Request’ option, after that new page will open, read out all the terms and conditions and click on the Checkbox “I have read” then click on the submit button.

Step 3: After clicking the submit button, the RTI request form will be displayed.

Step 4: Enter the keywords like Company Secretary in the Search Box and select The Institute of Company Secretaries of India from the drop down list.

Step 5: Enter all the details, like Name, address, educational qualification, and so on.

Step 6: After that, you will see “Is the Applicant Below the Poverty Line”

Step 7: If you belong to that category, then select option YES and attach a valid proof with it.

Remember, if you belong to that category, then you have no need to pay the fees.

Step 8: In the next option, enter BPL card information like year of issue and issuing authority.

Step 9: If you do not belong to the BPL category, then you have to pay the necessary fees of Rs. 10/-

Step 10: Provide details in the field of “Text for RTI Request Application”

Step 11: With the help of Internet Banking, credit or debit card make the payment of Rs. 10/-

Step 12: Lastly, you will get a registration number after submission, save it for future reference.

Although, ICSI and RTI both the routes are easy to use to get certified copies but the process is slightly different. It totally depends on one’s choices: either choose the ICSI route or choose the RTI route, but the only difference is price. On the RTI route, you have to pay only 10 rupees.
